~ Day 2 ~
we joined NS group for WFL. they were on the topic of dynamic cg. wow. though i heard that quite many times in our youth, maybe a lil bored with it, but this time it is just so different. interesting! maybe the person who share on this topic different. hahha. cannot be..
i actually got lotsa new ideas on leading a creative cg in this WFL class.
there are 3 different type of cg.
- Matthew CG
- Evangelism CG
- Regular CG/Normal CG
we do having these 3 types of cg. we still do left out the important role of these 3 different cg.
for mcg, we are not just play games or having outings. everyone think is fun so is okie, enough. it is actually for us to gather everyone, to know one another's friends and to show God's love. it is not just exciting and fun. show God's love to them so that they able to feel the love of God as well.
bout ecg, we actually do need to bring our pre-believing friends. through ecg, so that they able to know God more. but normally i don't see much pre-believing friends with us during ecg but mcg.
objectives : discipleship , outreach , care , key role.
sumtimes we think that worship leading is sumthing like we go to bath we needa use shampoo so cg must have p&w. so wrong! we sing praise and worship is not just we needa sing songs to praise and worship God.. because nice songs.. as a worship leader should choose a proper songs according to the cg theme if any. is not that u like that songs and so you sing. worship leader is to lead people to experience God. we needa help them to experience God but not experience God through the worship leader. oh yea, worship leader needa know the limitation of guitarist. before everything start, should have enough spiritual preparation. make sure everything well-prepared before the cg start example lyrics.
sumtimes we wonder why do have a discussion group. it is for us to exchange ideas and feelings after a short sharing/teaching. sumtimes the ideas may help the group to grow/improve.
there are 3 types of group. discovery group is for those non-believer to discover on God more. foundation group must be relevant and make it simple for people to understand. out of that, make sure young believer understand. formation group can be open and personal. can share everything like transparent but not naked. should know what can share and what cannot share. don't preach but help people to understand it. that would be better.
to see the growth, we needa pray more for our ministry. prepare objectives and goals so there's a direction. trust God and have faith always.
i like the way they did. after all, they do have a demo on how to lead a discussion group. everyone in the group playing a different role. from there, everyone able to learn how to deal with different type of people due to which situations. that makes everyone easier to understand. great!!

here comes the climax. youth service!! sermon preached by Pst. Jasmine on the topic of How to You Enjoy Life (Phil 4 : 10 - 13).
really struck me on the 1st point pastor shared. learn how to avoid comparison. by that time, im thinking what makes me happy? okie, there's 3 misconceptions about happiness. some people must have what people have to be happy ; some people must be liked by everyone in order to be happy ; some people need to have more will make self more happy.
because of peer pressure, we like comparing. we needa have what people have or sumthing that better than others to make ourselves happy. another reason is that we have what others have so we can be friend with them.. to join others gang.. to be like by others. even Jesus do not like by everyone, so how can we?! to avoid all these, we needa learn to draw on God's power. trust God for He will deliver us and help us. continue to read bible and claims the promises. for what we have in this world, is all from God. He is the owner of all and we should know how to be satisfied. keep praying ;)
